Carter attests to Obama's worldwide support
Globetrotting former U.S. President Jimmy Carter says he's found strong support for Barack Obama during his recent trips to Africa and Asia. Carter says Obama was the favorite in his travels to Ghana, Nigeria and Nepal. He says "world opinion is strongly supportive of Obama, that's all we hear." (AP) Carter is also a Superdelegate who has not yet declared which candidate he supports. His comments to reporters in Jerusalem, on the eve of the Pennsylvania primary, have been interpreted as implicit backing of Obama: "As a superdelegate, I think I ought to stay as flexible as I can, but I obviously observe what goes on around me... My little town of Plains voted for Obama, and as you know my state of Georgia voted for Obama, and all of my children, all of my grandchildren, and all of their spouses are for Obama... That's as far as I've gone." (AFP)
