The Obama Bridge Project is a grassroots initative by international Obama supporters and Americans living abroad. The initiator, Meredith Wheeler in France, explains the rational and invites you to join an existing photo being planned in your country, or to arrange one yourself!:
"The project is gathering photographs and videos of Obama supporters around theThere have been photos in Austria, Lebanon, Turkey, Britain, Ireland, Canada and many other countries.
world, posing at, on or under famous or scenic bridges, displaying Obama
banners--the bridge being an ideal symbol for the Obama candidacy. Bridges unite
two banks, spans chasms, gaps and troubled water, brings together opposing
sides. We plan to gather these photographs together and make a powerful YouTube
video and show it at the Democratic National convention in August. When
possible, we encourage a video record of the event too, with a group "Yes, We
Can" moment! Our deadline for photos is mid-May. Please get involved - YES WE
SPAN! (forgive the pun!)"

Sadly the woman who volunteered to organize this seems to have dropped out (it's the only bridge to do that!). Could you organize it yourself or contact the very active Dems Abroad group in Holland to do it? Bob Brager, the Chair of DA Netherlands, was just elected as an Obama delegate to the Democratic convention and expressed a willingness to get involved in this project.
